Chicago got rid of one incompetent mayor and voted in another incompetent mayor. Chicago deserved what they got. DC just did the same. The constitution states that capitol is to be on a neutral site. If DC were at state, then the capitol must move to a neutral site. Half of the 700,000 workers in DC work for the Federal government. If they follow the government to neutral site, the rest of the population would to pay the taxes. The federal government pays the salaries of the mayor, police commissioner and his police department. The federal government pays the salaries of the fire commissioner and his fire department. Plus all other commissioners and their staff. That means the taxes on the residents left must go, included property taxes. Their pie in the sky ideas are crazy. But what can I say. Democrats have no idea what they are proposing.
